George Rivera For Parkland
A little about me...
I grew up in Connecticut and spent some time in New York State, New Jersey, and Long Island before taking residence in Pennsylvania in 2012.
I have known my lovely wife Shannon since 2004 and we have been married since 2011. Our oldest child, Cameron, is 17 years old and was recently enrolled in Parkland High School as a junior. We have two other children: Mason (10) and Eva (7).
I have been a restaurant manager for over 20 years and I am extremely proud of the knowledge and skills I accrued from working my way up from a dishwasher to my current position as a Managing Partner.​
I currently lead 65 hourly employees and 3 assistant managers. As the Managing Partner of this particular restaurant, I oversee 5.8 million dollars a year in revenue while delivering 20% Operating Profit, annually.​​

My experience delivering profitable sales growth will be key in ensuring Parkland discontinues having multi-million dollar budget short-comings.
Like you, I am tired of the lack of discernment shown by our local elected officials in regard to all facets of fiscal responsibility.
Over the course of the past 5 years, we have seen PSSA results consistently declining while school taxes have consistently increased.

Parkland School District residents deserve board members that exhibit strong business acumen, decorum, and the discernment that is necessary of someone that manages millions of dollars.
